So I created "Blogging with Bryan". It should be most interesting. Especially where I am currently at in life. I have been working at New Day Ranch for one year and six months now.
Last Wednesday, a week ago, I had an interview with American Medical Response, and I am now waiting for a response from them. The lady that interviewed me said they would send me a letter saying either yes or no...and I hope its a YES!
Also last Wednesday, I saved the life of one of the boys at work. The kid was choking on rice. Rice of all things. The funny part, was that this was NOT the first time the kid choked on rice, this was indeed the second time. So with females screaming, I jumped up (after just sitting down for 2 seconds) threw people out of the way, and gave the kid the heimlich maneuver. Then the CEO came out of his office, where he was watching this kid choke to death, and said to me "Where did you learn that? I didn't know you could do that!" Severely underestimated is all that I could say.
My EMT class is going great. We have about a week of practicles of medical scenarios, then the modular test followed by a 2 1/2 weeks of trauma and 3 nights of trauma practicles, then its test, test, followed by 3 more tests. Then I get to sit for the written National Registry test, followed by the practicle for the National Registry Certification. Once I get my certification I can get my license.
